		<description>Sounds like a great idea - for the most part. But in practice in an office it&#039;s nearly impossble to &quot;discourage others from dropping by&quot;... especially if you are the go-to person for a specific technology.

I do everything I can to discourage others from coming and asking questions - but I still end up with many throughout the day. I&#039;ve even implemented (and insisted upon) a &quot;zone time&quot; (from 2pm-4pm when I shouldn&#039;t be disturbed unless the prod server has gone down or we&#039;re in the middle of a release)... but it gets conveniently ignored and all my colleagues begin by asking &quot;just one small question... it won&#039;t take very long&quot; - and the wedge begins.

and they all get very upset when I tell them &quot;no means no&quot;.

Do you have any suggestions for more effective ways of remaining distraction-free in an interrupt-driven office?</description>
