I LOVE THIS POST. And this made me smile uncontrollably,

"Yes, the smart-asses out there will say you’re doing something — you’re sitting there or laying there, closing your eyes."

Great post. Any chance you could talk about how to get over the guilt that happens after I've been doing nothing ?

I do nothing every day for at least five hours a day. I always thought I wasn’t born to be or do anything… I guess I was born to be nothing, which is something.

I believe, scientifically speaking, it's all talking about putting your restless beta brain waves into more relaxed alpha or theta :) Yes, doing nothing is justified scientifically, but throw that form of thoughts away anyway. Just do nothing, be sincere, be mindless, be silent. You are going to face the true you...

Long ago italians coined an expression that summarizes your post. It's the "dolce far niente" which translates into "sweet doing nothing".

Imagine yourself on an afternoon in a terrace in Naples (Italy) facing the Mediterranean sea, the sun setting slowly, a cup of short, dark coffee, watching the ships passing by, a tarantella in the air... your mind fly away... Italians (mainly in the south) master this art.

I officially love this web site. I also love the little hints of humor (ie: saying 'crotchal area' in the bath segment above). I've been looking to slow down, but all these Zen people tend to take themselves WAY too seriously. This web site is the perfect balance. Thank you.
