Great guest post! This fits right into a theme I have been working on for a while now. I have just read a great book on simplifying your life, and will be running a series of posts on this topic in May. Here is a teaser.

The thing I love about this post is that it made me look at my life differently ... as the father of six kids, I've been thinking for awhile now that my kids definitely make my life more complicated ... and it's a wonderful complication that I would never change ... but this post makes me realize that all the simplifying I do is for them, and my wife. And my sanity. :)

Thanks, Lodewijk, for the great guest post.

I love zen habits, and I'm proud that Leo gave me the opportunity to do a guest post here.

@mickeyckm: I'm glad you liked it

@Happy Rock: I recognize that very much. TV and videogames seemed important at a stage in my life. Now, I don't care for them very much anymore.

I must concur, in that my journey the last few years has been quite similar. I have included things, like children and schooling, that have complicated my life, but made me much more fulfilled. To my surprise things like TV, video games, and complacency are falling of the map.
