Awesome article. I found it searching for "Risk" on the site Leo, so pardon my late response to it :)

Also, on a side note - Cyan is a beautiful woman!

Hey Guys! Balfour's link is correct. I went through some Landmark courses as well. They describe themselves as "education for living" and you generally take courses which last a few days 2-3 but are very intensive. In different courses you look at different things but a lot of it is to do with communication, mending relationships, how you view the past, what power you have over your life and so on.

I think they are quite valuable and I liked their general positive attitude to the world (a big part of the courses is helping your community), but they are a bit intense and because they rely on participants to refer others and their friends, they cop a lot of flak - some of it justified, some not.

Overall I did two courses with Cyan and I'm glad I did them, certainly there is a lot to get there.

Hope that helps!

This might well be a separate topic, but how does one come up with goals? What is the process? How do you know you have the right goal for you?

This is a question for anyone here: how often, and in what way, do you evaluate your goal?

It seems to me that things change constantly. How much flexibility is built into the goal-generating process, and how much into the goal-monitoring process?

If your goal is to climb a (metaphorical) mountain. You are looking up at it. You imagine what it is like at the top. But as you climb up you start to see things differently. You see more. What you thought might have been a good goal is more than enough, or as you climb further, you realize that you are not enjoying the journey.

And what's more, now you can see other opportunities that look better than your original vision.

I'm not familiar with Landmark Curriculum ... I'll ask Cyan and see if I can get a link.

But I was glad that Cyan agreed to the interview, which I really enjoyed by the way. She and the other folks at FreelanceSwitch have put out a really great resource, and have had phenomenal growth in the last couple of months. Great job, guys, and thanks, Cyan!
