Good insights. I love how simple Leon’s system is, I wish I was that far already (but I’ll get there!).

And like Mark I also notice a lot of alignment between the ideas of various authors (a.o. Covey and Allen). Yet I feel that the fact that I recognize it, is a sign of my own process of understanding and implementing. Reading blogs, commenting and blogging are accelerants in that process (well in my process anyway).

By the way, David’s book is called Doe het nu! in the Netherlands (translates as Do it now!), I hate the title as I feel it doesn’t describe the message of the book very well.

Hi Mark … interesting observations. I haven’t read much of Brian Tracy, but it sounds interesting. I love David Allen and Steven Covey, of course. And I agree — there are definite similarity in some of the principles in all of these productivity methods — which is what I try to uncover here on ZH.

And when I go to Australia, I am going to take you up on that coffee offer!

Here’s a thought. I had a day of meetings in Brisbane today. On the train from (and to) the Sunshine Coast I was listening to an audio book from Brian Tracy, called Goals!. It’s uncanny (although maybe just common sense) that the messages coming out from this series of interviews on zenhabits mesh so well with those of David Allen’s “How to Get Things Done” (yes, that’s the title of the Australian edition), Stephen Covey, Brian Tracy, and so many other authors in the field.

Maybe we’re now seeing past the trends, and getting to the core of being productive in the real world.
