Thanks for the post Leo.
It was great to read through the posts and recognize books that I've read like old friends.
One author that I didn't see that completely changed my world view is Tom Brown Jr. Be prepared for change though.

This is scary. I get about 15-30 minutes a day to read for myself, so I calculate that I can read all the books on this list in, oh, 50 years or so. Maybe half that if I speed up, but I like to savor what I read. So I will be about 108 then, but darn it all, there will probably be more books added to this list by then.

In the spirit of the list, though, I would humbly like to add my own book, Anyone Can Improve His or Her Life: The Principles of Quality, which I honestly wish everyone in the world would read, just so things would get better all around and people would be happier. Maybe it's a bit Ayn-Randish, but it is in my own interest to wish the overall level of quality in the world were higher.

John D. McDonald - just about anything, but the Travis McGee series is a great read about human behavior.

The Power of One - Bryce Courtenay. A story of a boy's struggle to overcome his fears and shortcomings.

My favorite children's book is The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein.

Leo, you have great taste in literature. Some books that have impacted me, beyond some of those on your list, are:

Walden by Henry David Thoreau
Dove by Robin Lee Graham
Jupiter's Travels by Ted Simon
The Art of War by Sun Tzu
On the Road by Jack Kerouac

Thanks for the great blog.
