What's more, you can update your library's offerings. I was getting tired of heading to my local library only to find that they had not one thing on the shelves published after 1975. Hubby and I donated a large lot of books, and our fellow readers were grateful. You can also improve your library's special interest sections this way. Do you read a lot of history? Sci-fi? I ordered an evaluation copy for a book for my visual basic class, and i had pretty much forgotten i had ordered it when one day about a month later i was told to go up to the office, and sure enough, i had my book. my friend and I were utterly amazed that it actually worked :p if you need any textbook for school you can go to their website and order an evaluation copy and have it sent to your school.
