Hi Rob ... as I indicated, it was not fully established because I had to stop after 20 days due to illness. I'm going to try to do a better job this time and hope not to get sick or injured. Sometimes we fail, but it's better to get up and try again than not to try at all.

Leo - it sounds like you had commited a month somewhere along the line to establish this habit, and if it's an established habit you should not need to take another month to "get back into it". If you just stopped it because of unavoidable circumstances the habit should still be there. I've been unable to exercise for weeks on end after various injuries - it was frustrating and I could not wait to heal up and restart. I did not feel it was a challenge I had to dedicate a month to in order to get the habit back, the habit was already there just waiting for an opportunity to restart - I'm sure you're the same. So... exercise daily but push yourself to establish a truely new habit this month as I'm sure the exercise will take care of itself.

Hi Rob ... actually, the reason the habit didn't stick wasn't because it was poorly developed, it was because 1) I was doing fine until about 20 days into the challenge, when I got sick and 2) in May or June (I forget when) I got a back injury and stopped exercise for about a month.

Leo - your March habit was to get back exercising, your now repeating it 4 months later. This makes me think that it was a rather poorly developed habit - perhaps it takes more than 30 days to really establish a habit - http://hdbizblog.com/blog/2007/06/28/can-you-change-your-habits-in-21-days/

Good choice going with phpBB, Leo. vBulletin licenses are too expensive for what they offer, in my opinion.

Aloha Leo! The forum is a great idea. It will take the blog comments to an entirely new dimension: a community of people who can support each other as we make our way through our individual challenges. I'm a moderator at a rather large message board, and I can see how this could be an excellent way to get people here to really open up and share their goals and their fears.

I've been reading the blog for about a month now, and I think you're on to some really great ideas. Right on!
