Hi,
I know some time has passed, but I just noticed a small flaw in your design. You don’t have assigned a background color for your page (and maybe no font color, too). As long as everybody visiting zenhabits.net has the standard white background and black font chosen in his OS and browser, this won’t matter. But when these colors are changed, they also change the look of this site, which probably shouldn’t happen :D
Hope it is important enough to be changed, because I like my new theme ;)

Hi Leo,

The new design is very decent. Only turn off for me as a keyboard user is that outline has been set to none in the stylesheet, so I can’t see where my focus is when tabbing through the page. A real shame, and not at all necessary.

Another ‘bug’ I just encountered: when not filling in all necessary fields in the comment form WordPress instructs you to go back and do so. However, when navigating back, my comment was lost. I think this is not the case with a lot of other WordPress-themes, so it must be a theme problem.

Anyway, thanks again for your great articles!

Personally I like the old design better, not saying that I don’t appreciate a lot of great things coming from the new layout.
But I miss the old design a lot simply because it’s so visually pleasing to me, with a lot of space and I could see every the content in a few inches of screen space.

the new site would be perfect if we could make the banner shorter, and give it lots of white space outside of content. I know it might be hard to do for everything you want ot achieve now, but I truly found the experiecne of reading the old layout was a critical part why I enjoy ZenHabits so much. It is just easier for my eyes and my mind, taking a bit space to breathe!
