I am going to follow the advice from my life coach. He told me I should resolve to be a good listener. I think that's what he said.

I'm hoping 2008 will be about taking my blog to the next level. I've received such a great response in the past few months and hope I would love to provide great content in the future. Stay tuned!

ok , so in an effort to NOT do the usual thing of New years - you know, make some insane commitment to lose a million zillion pounds (by February 1st) and all sorts of other really not so healthy (neither emotionally nor physically!) things. I thought I would go about beginning today on what I want to call my journey of small changes.. I think, when I look back at everything I have done and accomplished in my life (and it doesn't really seem like I have done and accomplished a lot to me most times, but people tell me that it is pretty incredible where I came from and where I have come to through this journey - and I will honor that.) the reality of it all - is that it all happened in small increments. Little nibbles...bits and pieces here and there - all strung together like paper dolls making a chain of events that culminated in who I am and where I have ended up. It wasn't some huge cataclysm that threw me up and over and into the "here" where I am.. Tho some tragedies and horrors shaped what choices and decisions I made along the way - there was joy, also, that helped and healed. So - this is my call to arms, I suppose. Small changes are in the making. I want to do something more. I want to become something more. I want to be more than I am today. I want to DANCE IN THE RAIN...this is my next ambition - my 365 day journey this year. A string of small changes that I am hoping will let my passions and ambitions flow into areas that the light has not yet touched. I am actually a wee bit nervous and very excited to embark on a new venture... let me know if you want to come along!!

Things I want to accomplish:

1. Reduce what I own
2. Pay off credit card debt
3. Be happy with what I own

Oh, yeah, and one of the basic lessons of this Zen meditation book is that tomorrow is an illusion and that today is all that exists... So if you believe in that, then making a resolution for "next year" is silly.
