		<description>This concept of looking only inward as a source of &quot;radical responsibility&quot; is nothing new, but I do not intend that to be a negative statement.  The Stoics (no, the term doesn&#039;t follow the current English definition well, though it is the source) recognized, accepted, and worked from the proposition that their thoughts and thus actions were the only &quot;faculties&quot; they had total control over.
