This is my new mantra (thanks to my wonderful husband)

"Be as nice to yourself as you are to others"

This is my first visit to your blog. I now have it bookmarked and am looking forward to digging around some more!

Lists are my favourite things ever :)
I find it helps to unload my overheated brain by writing lists sometimes.

On Small Things: There're these great lyrics from The Weakerthans, which I think of sometimes when I feel a bit overwhelmed. From Favorite Chords:

Hey, I found the safest place,
to keep all our tenderness,
keep all those bad ideas,
keep all our hope.
It's here in the smallest bones,
the feet and the inner ear.
It's such an enormous thing,
to walk and to listen.

Your post reminded me of that. I really do believe that sometimes it's the smallest things which are the most amazing.

Lists are great, especially if they are tied to a bigger project or goal. You know what you have to do, start with something immediatelly to create momentum, and check them off one by one as you complete them.

I think lists are a great way to write and teach because they break things down into their component parts or steps. It makes it very obvious what steps to do first and what steps come later when they are presented in a list format. The majority of my posts at Sensible Harmony end up containing a list of some sort because that is how I think and write as well.

So, thank you for having so many lists on your website! Keep up the good work!

Leo, I actually like your lists. I like them because they are clearly laid out and it is not just rambling on but they are particular points from which you can take some and leave some and apply those that you feel you can use. They are very useful in our everyday life as well. I always make lists for my daily tasks and love to cross them off - it gives me a great feeling of accomplishment when almost all of them are crossed off! So, keep it up.

Leo, I like your lists. I'm a fan of them in general. They make reading information easier. I think in lists too. I guess that's why I write that way a lot too.

Your writing on Mantra's is quite interesting. It reminds me of my school days where I use to write my goal or make a symbol on my hand. That keeps me reminded of what I am working and help me to keep my self focused ..
Mantra is just another way of doing it..
