I am new to how this works, so I apologize if I should not have put a link in above. I just realized it does not work.

I would like to link with some other blogs that are in line with what I am trying to do, so let me know if I should proceed in a different way.

Sorry!

I really enjoy your site - your posts are truly relevant to what I am struggling with right now, a complete reorganization of my home. I write about living well here:

<a href="www.creativelifeskills.blogspot.com">www.creativelifeskills.blogspot.com</a>

I feel as if I am talking to myself sometimes, so please stop by and help me sort things out!

I have always liked using a 5 minute file. It can be a little notebook or even a folder cut in half and stapled. It really doesn't matter. The point is to put your notes or receipts or errand lists in here. If it is something that you can do in less than 5 minutes than put it in there. Make sure there is a prioritized structure to it. When you have spare time, waiting for something, maybe waiting for your dishes, or waiting for someone to get ready, pull out your little 5 minute file and try to knock off as many as you can.

Try to get your spouse involved and see who could knock off the most 5 minute items in a given week. With the winner enjoying a prize. Use your imagination. It should fit nicely in with the tips above!

With paperwork lying in piles all over our house, your suggestion of having an inbox has been excellent for us! Thanks for the idea!

When tidying up a messy room it can be very satisfying to count how many objects have to be put away... then aim for a lower count next time...
