The plain source of my happiness are from people who surrounds me. They are my family friends and neighbors. I'm happy if they are happy. It is like wave that whenever you'll be entangled with them you will one of them. These people are so much similar to me. We share same interest in life and share same happiness.

I really can't write much now , But what I want to say is just try to find people who have the same sense of humor and like the same things as you do.
Trust me, I've been in the same situations many times in different stages of my life but that problem will be fixed as soon as you find like minded people...
If you like surfing and you have a healthy lifestyle go to the beach early in the morning.
If you like going to parties every night and etc.. go to some clubs....
Hope that helps
Cheers

Make a vision board & post it right by your door where you'll see it every time you leave! Be positive & smile! Find clubs, lessons, groups, etc that interest you. Maybe a religious group or a running club, and don't be afraid to say "Hi, I'm new in town, can you suggest a great place to eat lunch/get coffee/etc. Or even do you want to go grab some coffee/lunch/etc!" This is your chance to get out of your comfort zone completly! Trust me it'll change your life!

"This is the true joy in life, the being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one; the being a force of nature instead of a feverish selfish clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy. I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the whole community and as long as I live it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can. I want to be thoroughly used up when I die, for the harder I work, the more I live. I rejoice in life for its own sake. Life is no 'brief candle' to me. It is sort of a splendid torch which I have a hold of for the moment, and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it over to future generations." - George Bernard Shaw

All else is selfish snivelling.

I'd suggest being the kind of person you'd like to meet. If you want to meet someone open, be an open person and open to trying new things. As a friend of mine always says: Pretend you're at a party. See what's missing (chips, soft drinks, friendliness, good conversation) and provide it! It works wonders.

Your instincts are on the right place when state you want to be okay without having to depend on friends/people to be happy. It's not just about looking in the right places for friends but doing the right activities as well. Developing a social network with friends is important but not the only activity that can help you become more happy. Noted positive psychology researcher Sonya Lyubomirsky recommends doing activities such as expressing gratitude, being optimistic and performing acts of kindness. So cheer up and consider the other ways you can help yourself feel better and be happy in a new city before you decide to move.
