There are some great points in here, thank you!

I would love to know anyone suggestions about communication between board members outside of board meetings. Often the action items that we decide on in the meetings will play out over the following weeks and get exchanged back and forth over a ridiculous number of emails, and it's led to board members simply not having time to read through them all, and deleting them or only checking those emails once per week; either way not good.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated!!

great post!

The best quotes in this article is that 'make clear of YES', I always forgot this message and learned my lesson. Ambiguity is the enemy of business.

I heard an interesting take on decisions recently. You just brought it to the front of my mind.

We humans often resist decisions because they mean giving something up. (In fact, decision comes from latin de cidi which literally means cutting off other possibilities.)

So getting humans to make decisions is best framed as giving them a choice. We don't resist choices. Because choices don't mean giving anything up, they mean legitimately choosing the best option.

When you make a decision for your family (especially big decisions) think first how it will impact the health of your family and just secondly think how it will affect your family money. I made a bad decision for my family health, because I wanted to cut costs but didn’t realize that it may affect our health (I closed a calorifier in the bathroom, in the winter, and then appeared mould on the walls, which is dangerous for kids). Fortunately, I become aware of it and fixed the problem. Be aware, firstly family’s health and just secondly family’s money!

Cheers!
