Goal setting plays a major role to your motivation and success. Your goal can be as basic as to learn driving or losing body weight. Focus on what you desire and off what you don't want. So, set your goals and start working on the ways to achieve them.

Well said, UA. I agree, the joy you feel in achieving your goals is unbelievable. I think the feeling of satisfaction and, well for lack of a better word, power is incredible. Obviously, the reaching of the goal is the real "goal", but the feelings and emotions that come with it are almost as good, if not sometimes better.
And you are absolutely right - keep driving and shift those gears.
Thanks for writing this right now and sending your words through that universe, it came at a perfect moment.

So glad you wrote this. I have recently (in the last few months) met most of my goals. The joy I feel when I achieve them is astounding. But even more importantly, seeing things come together before my eyes; is that enjoyable process of knowing that you are going to make it.

The Universe plays a big role when it comes to our goals... it knows what it is doing. Trusting in it and expending the effort needed to achieve the goal brings together some magical parts.

Now, I have to create more goals... they keep me driven. So, to everyone: keep driving. Just shift those gears if need be, as long as you're moving, you're close.

Peace.

If you gave me 10 million dollars tomorrow, most of my goals would disappear and be replaced by new ones. I think it's time to take another look and re-prioritize my goals.

Hi Glenn,

This post is great. I totally agree with point 1 about choosing the right goal and if you were give $10M, would it still be in your plans. Unfortunately, during my late 20s, I chased just the money, hoping that once I got the money, I could stop and do something else. As a result, getting up everyday was a struggle and I was constantly forcing myself to do the things I needed to do. I was also so attached to the money that I started making stupid decisions to try and short cut the process. Rather than enjoy the process as you say, I tried to shortcut it and ended up in as massive hole that I'm now crawling my way out of. So from personal experience I know this advice is completely correct - I use the other 4 steps as well to keep my motivation strong.

I also use an additional leverage instrument which is I will sometimes stop and think of the consequences of not achieving my goal. Thinking about being fact if I don't go the gym or being broke again if I don't get up and go what I need to do is often enough to snap me out of feeling lazy and get me motivated again.

Thanks again Glen,

Cheers, Niro
