I think the whole point of the early riser mindset was to encourage productivity.  Early, late, or whatever suits you.  Just live for the day :)

		<description>I completely agree with this. Early morning is a groggy and blah time for me, not inspiring at all. The day begins at 12 with me, before that it&#039;s just prep time. And my favorite part of the day is evening and night, it&#039;s so pretty and fun and alive then.</description>

		<description>It is very hard to free yourself from a schedule imposed largely by habit, and the daily timetable imposed by most companies.
I&#039;m sitting here at midnight, largely because I get 3 hours of quality, uninterrupted and most importantly, productive working time between 10pm and 1am.
I usually wake when the sun gets bright enough, at around 8 or 8.30, and am working by 10am. Our phones are off until 10.30am, and all our customers are used to our schedule.
With some staff having families, and others working in varying timezones, a flexible approach allows our company to operate in a more relaxed, and yet productive way.
Instead of organising our entire lives around the company working hours, we did it the other way round, and it works just fine..

		<description>I&#039;m a late riser by nature.  Would love to follow your approach, and did so when I was child free and a grad student who could make my own hours.  Loved it.  Thrived.  

 But with three kids attending school who need to be out of the house before 7:30am, the sleep.wake.work cycle is dictated by the early birds.  

I&#039;m pretty sure, as an empty nester, I&#039;ll revert back to my night owl ways.  When it&#039;s more about me and less about raising kids.</description>

		<description>I think waking up early has an energy that can&#039;t be duplicated. There&#039;s something quiet and calming about the morning hours.

That said... I think people should only wake up early if it inspires them. There&#039;s no rule it&#039;s better.</description>

		<description>Leo, this is so true. I realised I spent the second half of my twenties doing what I thought other successful people did and what many advised to do on their seminars etc. However, after having fallen into a massive heap, I realise that I was doing things for external recognition. My desire for acceptance and my ego were driving me and hence I was doing things that I was not necessarily good at or enjoyed but people recognised me for it. I was working hard, life was becoming a chore and I felt trapped. The end result - I failed miserably and fell into a massive heap. However, I realise that is the greatest thing that could have happened to me. Yes, it was unpleasant and there was and is financial and emotional pain. But that&#039;s only short term pain. The worst thing would have been for me to be successful at something I did not enjoy, only to then feel trapped into doing what others expected me to do. Now that I&#039;m starting again from the bottom up, I&#039;m doing what I want to do. There are no expectations. Yes, I&#039;m as busy as ever but I love what I&#039;m doing, working is fun and I&#039;m gradually making progress towards my goals. Personal growth truly is about being authentic and true to yourself. The greatest advice is &quot;Know thyself and be thyself&quot;. 6 simple words but the wisdom in them is profound.

		<description>I swore I would never ever get up before the sun to exercise, and I like to exercise. I am a night owl by nature. However, I had new motivation to switch my exercise to 5:30 a.m., and that was when my fiance&#039;s work schedule changed to early mornings. I wanted to get on his schedule so that we could have more quality time together. 
I&#039;m still getting used to it, but I definitely notice a difference in my energy level between working out in the morning and working out at night.  
I&#039;m sure if it hadn&#039;t been for my fiance&#039;s schedule change, I would still be working out at night, but I like the new change in my routine.</description>
