In our society the fight of a big belly is often linked to poor eating habits, lack of exercise, low motivation to change a current state, health risk and oftentimes unattractiveness. When it comes to losing belly fat there’s not much more that you need to take into consideration other than the food choices you make and how active you are. Eating a balanced diet plays a major role in reducing body weight.

If you don't want to do Whey Protein because of your vegan or near vegan lifestyle, and Soy Protein is estrogenic, you may consider Brown Rich Protein.

I used it when on a workout plan to help me drop the excess pounds. My trainer was a meat eater and was horrified that I'd try to add muscle and loose fat without meat and dairy. But I did do it. I did eat Tofu elsewhere in the diet (baked tofu cut up in a huge salad for lunch and sometimes as a protein for dinner) but thought that the brown rice protein was an acceptable substitute. I did of course have to consider it a carb, but I just adjusted my carb intake down elsewhere (like in the morning or at dinner).

Unfortunately, my weight has crept back up and I'm 2# into the "overweight" category again. Your posts and accountability spreadsheet are inspirational and I may adopt a similar method for my goals.

Leo,

Late Happy Birthday (saw it listed on your spread sheet). You will be successful for sure by following such a methodical plan.

I like it that you allowing cheat days. I enjoy going to one "happy hour" per week with my girlfriend...even when I'm dieting hard. My food of choice is buffalo wings and 2-3 cold beers (Stella, Hoeggarden, or Mothership Wit).

Anyway...it doesn't matter if it takes you a while, once you get there it is pretty easy to keep off.

Have a great one!

Hey Leo-

What goes into the Amy's Tofu Scramble? Switching the fruit for some cottage cheese as your late night snack would help strip off some belly fat. As others have said your soy protein intake seems rather high. Whey protein would help fill you up much better and without all the plant estrogens to consider. My meal plan here should give you a few new ideas...

Hey Leo! The nutrition plan and exercise plan look awesome! I posted a free e-book on my website on how to use the stability ball if you are interested. It may help to integrate some more core training into your routine. Good luck with your training and weight loss, I'm excited to read about your progress!!!

Agree with Andrea that you need to cut on the soy foods. Not only for the estrogen, but because they provide way too much polyunsaturated fats — this is the kind we don't need much of. We get plenty of them in grains and vegetables.

I know, I know, everyone thinks is all the way around, but look around... fat people!
