Very timely that I read this.

I live in a nice little suburb, and each day I go for a 30 minute walk/jog. More and more lately I've began to notice how much people litter. At first I thought about putting up a billboard or huge sign that says, "Love Yourself, Love Earth, Find a Trashcan"... or something witty like that. Then I thought of two quotes.

"Be the change you want to see in the world."
-Mahatma Gandhi

"I always wondered why someone doesn't do something about that. Then I realized I am someone."
-Lily Tomlin

So today on my run, the first thing I saw was a large discarded Tostito's chip bag, I picked it up and started grabbing trash off the sidewalk and street as I ran by and shoving it into the empty chip bag. Occasionally when picking up an item, I'd stop and do 20 push ups (until my hands were too full). By the time I got home I had two full hands of trash.

Tomorrow, I'm taking a bigger bag. ;-) And the more people litter, the more healthy and bulked up I'm gonna be!! ;-)

Yes! Small can even be one person working internally to stop a bad habit. Improving one's self incrementally actually adds up to big change, and can affect the world!

Leo, it's so true! One person can really make a difference and, little by little, help to change the world. That's why we encourage everyone to start thinking small. We've found you can really broaden your horizons just by shrinking your outlook!

Will try focusing on achieving lots of smaller things at a time to add up to something much bigger overall. Easy to get overwhelmed trying to do too much at once.

Great message Leo. This applies to small startups too. Start small and focus in one area.

I practice the art of small, actually I am small! 5'-1". But I throw my weight around in little ways every day to try and help people out. When you help someone, they always seem to return the favour, and they bring their friends along too!

Great Post Leo.

Small incremental changes are transformative is an aphorism that frequently guides me. Fits right in here. Doing that small action sometimes takes a mountain of discipline.
