I think the site is too clean right now. You can reduce everything until there is nothing left. Or nothing ‘emotional’ left. Only cold clean text. Anyway, it’s all about the content, and the content is wonderful.

Good move Leo.

I never saw your ads, as I have had ad-blocking software (adblock or privoxy) installed for a long time now. I suspect as time goes by this sort of software will become more and more widely used.

You are wise to move away from a reliance on ads for your revenue.

Also, of course, it goes without saying that ads are an annoying distraction, and hence really detract from the whole message of your site.

BTW- The ads never bothered me. I think if you realize down the road that you need them to help support the site and brought them back you would not lose a single leader but you’d have our respect for having tried…

Funny I should read this today. Just last night, I was mentioning to my boyfriend how refreshing it was to visit a knowledgeable site with no cluttering ugly ads on it. :)

Another suggestion if I may, you receive many comments per posting, and kind-hearted though they may be, perhaps a jump of some sorts to get them all? It’s tiring going through 103 comments to post your own. Or maybe putting the “add your comment” at the TOP of the comments?

I noticed the new look, it feels much cleaner and more open. I love it.

I added your store to my bookmarks–I buy stuff from Amazon once a month or so anyway, and now I can support something good, too. :)
