Great post, Alex! Love your first point, and #4 touches on one of my favorite uses for Twitter: bookending. (Search for #bkend hashtag to learn more if you're interested.)

Thanks, as always, for a great read, @ZenHabits!

Thanks for an excellent post! It's a subject that needed some attention.

Twitter has been a revelation to our website. We were having trouble balancing the problem of wanting to keep people informed regularly on one hand, and not overloading their inbox on the other.

Now, thanks to Twitter, we can send out real-time updates of new self-development events, articles and books as we get them. We can also gently remind people of upcoming events in a way that seems much less intrusive than email.

We've also found, that by finding people with like-minded interests in personal development on Twitter, we have been able to find new fans!

I am a psychotherapist and personal development teacher and I have read many tidbits on Twitter that got me thinking even when I don’t agree with it. I take what I need and leave the rest, so to speak. I can also put my insight out at 140 counters and let the other folks retweet or use it for their personal development and spiritual growth. I really enjoy Twitter and have connected with some great folks. Follow me there at @DrJennifer

Thanks for the blog,

Using the Random Number generator at Random.org, I drew numbers based on the number of comments on the up until now and here are the winners of the ebook Someday My Ship Will Come In: A Practical Guide to Finding Your Dreams

#4 The Happy Rock
#30 Coach Bay
#56 Crista

I will contact each person through their blog individually - thanks all for taking the time to comment and add to the conversation.

Cheers,
Alex
