Love your message, Leo, not to mention the spacious and calming effect of your site! Also enjoy following you on Twitter.

You might be interested in knowing about my book "Your Spacious Self: Clear Your Clutter and Discover Who You Are." http://www.spaceclear.com.

Its many simple messages like "No home, no have," "Put away every day," and "Go slow to go fast," dovetail nicely with your calmer, Zen approach to living and home tending.

Thank you for what you do to help make this a more beautiful planet in which to live!

Loved the article. I've been struggling with clutter all my life, and this article really hit the spot. I've been cogitating on it all week, and I've been catching myself thinking about the act of putting items down. Really, the key isn't in the "organizing", the key is in the habits one creates and reinforces about putting things in the right place the first time.

Geez I thought I was the only one with the counter clutter--and you know this is all very nice--but how do you make the pile for shredding actual jump into the shredder?

I use velcro straps to keep my cords and cables organized. They're easy to unwrap when you need them as well as taming cords that are too long.
