Great article!!! My friend and I played tennis, and we were rushing from place to place that day. He would constantly tell me I need to slow down driving, I was unconciously alway moving too fast. That evening he died of a masive heart attack at the age of 54. Need to say, I drive between 60 and 65 miles and hour and my entire life is now in slow motion. Life is so taken for granted and we are living for "TODAY" and we need to learn to enjoy every moment of it by living in the "NOW."

I agree with single-tasking. I am currently working in a corporate setting and I am detesting it. I do not like multi-tasking because it gives me anxiety attacks. I do not want to feel this way -- on edge and always tired. Single-tasking seems so much better.

I can't wait to own my time. 15 more days to go!!!

I find this to be so helpful. Concentration and focus bring your work to a higher level. You produce higher quality work when you slow down. Fast is valuable, so is slow. We need to be willing to do both. I've found that by slowing down, I get better at delegation and saying "no" to projects that are not particularly productive. I think many of us believe being busy means you're being productive. It's a shame when you work your tail off and still accomplish nothing.

[...] Lets face it, our lives are a lot more ‘faster’ than they were, this is mainly because of the continual developments in technology letting you multitask and make your time more productive, however things can get a little overwhelming sometimes which is why blogs on productivity are writing tips on how to slow down your life.
"7. Drive slower. Speedy driving is a pretty prevalent habit in our fast-paced world, but it’s also responsible for a lot of traffic accidents, stress, and wasted fuel. Instead, make it a habit to slow down when you drive. Appreciate your surroundings. Make it a peaceful time to contemplate your life, and the things you’re passing. Driving will be more enjoyable, and much safer. You’ll use less fuel too."

#7 contradicts the #2. Be present.

My observation is that almost all crashes are result of some kind of destruction. If you are going to drive, please pay attention to the road. If you want to self-reflect or observe scenery, please get a driver. Other wise you might kill some one.
The speed is not primary cause for crashes. Statistics from German autobahns, where there is no speed limit, show that has fewer deaths then US freeways. Why? Because German drivers are better trained and very disciplined while driving.
Distraction + Speed (higher then 3 mph) = BAD.
