I say the title is a tad misleading - motivation still plays a vital role in anyone's direction. Being motivated for a purpose is the most important - understanding that it comes in waves is great though - and listening to the ebb and flow of our body as well.

But without getting motivated about something, people would not accomplish much worth while.

A while back I wrote about these over on my site and I think they are SO important to think about and remind ourselves of all the time. It’s so easy (for me) to fall into these traps and I really need to be careful when it comes to my thinking. I love your descriptions of each. Very well done!forumvideooyun

This post really hit the mark with me today. I *want* to work in the studio, but I also feel unmotivated to do it. I feel like I’m more motivated to work on my jewelry on days when I can’t actually work in the studio, but when I have the time, I don’t feel the energy.
I think that sometimes a lack of motivation to do things that we really want to do is caused by fear. We’re afraid that we’ll fail, or we’re afraid that we’ll succeed. I’ve been thinking and I believe that some fear of failure has been eating at me lately. So I’m going to conquer it and go work in that studio later this afternoon.

Good point Leo.You made a lot of people think about motivation, me included…Some words resonated in me, Cycle, waves, being in the now, meditation, intuition; all of them needed and sometimes hard to find or reach.Sometimes we have to let it flow

You’re absolutely right! No one can be 100% motivated ALL of the time, but motivation DOES still matter. We just need to be smarter about it. That’s why I talk about “MQ” or “Motivational Intelligence.” Having a high MQ means that you know how and when to unlock the motivation that we all ALREADY have deep inside in order to breakthrough a problem situation,…but only if you want to.
