Police, hospitals, and paramedics also see a spike in activity during the full lunar phase. But did you know that the moon is also a fantastic remedy for stress?
We all remember those summer nights when the crickets would chirp while we were out chasing firefly&#039;s and each other around the yard.
Life seemed almost as endless as those summers, and before we knew it we were now adults supervising our own children as they gallivanted around the yard, playing the very same games that we had played decades before.
One of the most powerful tranquilizers that I have discovered to date has nothing to do with medicine, or at least the chemical kind. This medicine is all natural and comes with no adverse side effects or cost, and all it takes is 30 minutes of your time.
A long walk under a full moon after dinner for me has no competition when it comes to unstressing myself.
Whether winter or summer, I find the time to take long walks after my work, and dinner while gazing at the full moon, and clearing out the cobwebs.
Many famous poets have found their inspiration this way, and I can think of no better cure for the mild attention deficit disorder that we acquire throughout the day whether it be by the news, media commercials, or the job.
Try it once during the next full moon, and I can guarantee you that you ll be hooked. Of course this only works if you don&#039;t find yourself dodging traffic, or shielding your ears from the blaring of automobile horns, so take that stroll as far away from the hustle and bustle of the city as you possibly can.</description>

I&#039;m from Los Angeles, California. I had moved to Tucson, Arizona for a few months and it totally changed the way I see things. I basically grew up in southern California my entire life and this was a different experience. Everyone functioned at a slower pace, took their time, and things still got accomplished. In fact, I feel like I got more accomplished there. Time actually felt like it went by slower there. I could be running errands all day and come back home and I would still have a lot of time for the rest of the day. With the fast paced lifestyle, the traffic, and the people out here in LA, it would be a different story.

Back to your article. I&#039;ve made it a habit to meditate every morning and sometimes during the evening. I feel like it&#039;s one of the best practices that I introduced into my life. Emptying and freeing the mind has offered great benefits for me. It has helped open up my mind to clarity. It has also opened the doors for self-discovery, which has drastically changed my life for the better. I am very good at being still in both mind and body. This is a conscious &#039;practise&#039; from years back. I find that being still puts me in a more peaceful existence. I am less stress with annoyances of life, less materialistic, a minimalist in all aspects of life, more compassionate, love life, see the funny/good sides, intrigued by all the different cultures in the world, etc, the list goes on. The effects from being still is quite profound when you think of it for me anyway. It filters through to all other aspects of my life. I am very thankful for I feel it makes me a better person.
