Thought provoking post! I'm thinking it's very interesting that all last semester when I was working a 40 hour/week job and taking 7 credits in graduate school I absolutely craved orange juice. Subconsciously trying to boost my willpower to get it all done? :)

this was good to have willpower as a limited resource pointed out. it somewhat explains why after a long day's work, overly focused on what i wouldn't want to be doing forever is cutting out my energy to develop what i want to do afterward. perhaps this is just a matter of re-prioritizing, but this article has shed some light. thanks!

Hey Leo just wrote a post recently on habits at The Key To Habit Changes. I think It is all about awareness in the moment. Just read your eBook on blogging by the way. It's great!

Very interesting subject. I always wanted to increase my will-power and self-control power, although I think I'm rather disciplined. I found most interest in "Watch a sad movie but resist the urge to cry" to temporarily deplete willpower so that it will be stronger in the long run. When it comes to movie, I'm a super emotional person and weep and cry for almost any movie. This actually works for me as catharsis. Mmm, I want to strengthen my willpower, but if I resist to cry, I wonder if it is healthy for my emotion...
