I agree that less is often more. I love being able to fit most of my possessions into one carload. I have all that I need and I'm very grateful for it.

WOW! I really needed that today. THANK YOU. For years I pushed myself into 18 hour days running my business and managing a full time job. When my business went full time, 12-14 hours seemed like a breeze. This week I have focused on some easy time, clear specific work time, and fun time. Today I was feeling like I hadn't accomplished enough this week. This reminded me that I too am on the path to do less and live more. Thank you.

Jeffrey -

Although there are benefits to producing more, it does not embrace a zen lifestyle. Although your friend's blogging from a technical standpoint has shown improvement its the substance to the writing which is important here which brings us back to quality not quantity

Great article. It's already been a crazy day and it's only 9.15am. I shall take some time today to slow down and read this again. Then look for ways to implement!

Old news. I have been doing this for 20 years out of necessity, the mother of invention, the mother of change. It was revolutionary 20 years ago, but I would like someone to say how to do it in ways I haven't considered. Maybe I am just too old; these admonishments I gleaned from the Tao te Ching 20 years ago really did help, and I am sure they will help other young people or old people learning it for the first time. I guess I am wondering, is there anything more once you "get it" that less is more, declutter, prioritize, etc...Cause I did all that and it did help, but more is missing. I guess I want to know what is the more that is missing. Sorry, just venting. It's well-written for the hoarders known as average Americans. I guess it's just a personal problem. What is written here did help me 20 years ago and since from where I was. I guess with the bad economy, getting older and sicker, something else is missing and I am just looking to find it......Kudos for the article. What is written will definitely help any perfectionist, driven, accumulating, sensing loss person out there.
