The idea of living w/o being under the stress of a clock is wonderful, but there is one major exception: If there is a meeting at 6:30, and everyone expects us to be there, on time, so we can accomplish the purposes for which the meeting exists ... we are disrespectful of others if we do not show up on time.

Loved the first two--pick a theme instead of goals and work by week, instead of by day. I will try these two.

Best advice, I have read in a long time.

Thanks.

I can not live and work without a clock and a calendar, I need them to schedule my works for a week, a month and follow it. Your post is a great idea, I will try it sometime in my life :)

I love the article!

I agree with the points made that time should not be what rules our lives BUT I also believe that the most succesful musicains are the ones that first learn all the rules of music, the notes and scales and master them and then they transcend them. Once they got the basics down they can really fly with creating the sounds that are truly them.

I think the same rules apply to time- first we should become people who are on time and value time (on time to meetings, in check with our time bound projects and goals etc...) and then we can create symphonies of the most treasured times- appreciating our lives and what we have.
