Maybe the world would benefit if everybody were a little bt more like kids, and didn't take everything so seriously all the time.

Kids can be a great source of inspiration. Too bad many people don't see that.

To see every moment as fresh, wonderful and filled with possibilities. To express an infinite creativity. To do for the sake of playing.

Wow... I'd never thought of this before, but that does pretty much sounds like enlightenment!

Once I saw a little boy leaning against a refrigerator in a teachers lounge. He had a very sad look on his face. I knelt down and ask him what was wrong. He looked at me and said...It's very hard growing up. I whispered to him. Oh, you don't want to grow up. You just want learn how to ACT like a grownup. I'm not really grown up...I just learned how to fool them. You can act can't you? Yes, he said. You can pretend can't you? Yes, Well just watch the grownups and learn how to act like them. You can fool them. He smiled.

I don't think it's a good and helpful idea. Adults always overestimate children only in adult's view. Why most of us appreciate and value children, only as we wanna regain what has been lost in growth. But as we know, it's the cost of growth. We really understand children? Maybe most children wanna be adults and more mature. We're only obsessed with phantom we weaved. Let all things be natural. After all, we shoud wake, not wandering in the wonderland. Learn from Alice, not from Lewis Carroll.

Leo,

Great article. I think we'd all be a lot happier if we emulated kids. Being an adult is made more difficult because we don't let yourselves be spontaneous and have fun.

Have a great day.

i agree with you leo we need to be more childlike. As we grow older we look at those ways of thinking and etc as a childlike manner. So therefore growing up we tend to think that its not good to act in those ways. But luckily i'm not one of them.

Many of our Gladiator DIY fans have a great time in the garage or workshop simply "being more child-like" because they're having fun in their creative zone; building, gardening, woodworking, etc. We find that creativity and being childlike are closely related, too.
That said, this post is challenging because, though it's empowering and inspiring, there's still the challenge to live out the advice if you're not in your creative zone, or once you're done reading the post and look away from the computer screen... ;)
