The 44 – Practice 9: Tender Heart

By Leo Babauta

What I’d like to share with you in today’s practice is a powerful transformation … where we look at any pain, sadness, frustration, anger, fear that we’re experiencing … and find the tenderness underneath it.

This might seem sappy to some of you, but I believe it is transformative. When we are hurt, there is a tenderness underneath that. A part of us that just wants to be loved, to be happy, to be at peace. It’s there all the time, underlying everything we do. If we can tap into this, we can find the goodness in each moment.

I encourage you to practice with this even if you feel resistance to it, even if you have difficulty with it at first. Try it, and trust me.

The Practice – Tender Heart

In this video, I guide you through the practice of touching your tender heart. This takes practice, so persist at it even if you struggle.
