The Top 50 Productivity Blogs (most of which you haven’t heard about)
I love productivity blogs — they’re probably my greatest waste of time. But as they teach me to better use my time, I don’t consider it a waste. If you like reading about productivity, goals, habits, GTD, time management and other such topics, I’ve compiled a list of the best productivity sites for your perusal.
Now, you might not like all of these, but there are some real gems here — and many of them aren’t that well known. I suggest you give them a look, browse their archives, and if you like what you see, try a test subscription (you can always unsubscribe later).

You’re welcome, Matt … I’ve been enjoying your blog for some time now.

Nice list. I’m surprised you don’t have Mark Foster on your list. He actually makes his living talking about this stuff, and has some nice ideas. I’m always happy to see something new from him on my RSS feeds. (Of course, I’m always happy to see something new from zen habits as well ;)

Leo,
I’m quite honored to be included on this list. And I’ve found some great new blogs, thanks to you.
Keep up the great work!

Nice list. I’m honored to be included.
By the way, DumbLittleMan might be more suited for the A list. They have over 75,000 RSS subscribers while lifehack.org has about half of that. DLM doesn’t seem to get as many page views, but (based on the traffic, I get from them), it appears most of their readers use Google’s feed reader and never visit the site directly. just a thought.

Leo Says:

Thanks for all the comments, guys!
@Mark Shedd … I debated putting Dumb Little Man in the A-List, and didn’t originally only because of their Alexa ranking, but based on your comment I’ve moved them up to the A-List.
@Animental: I was going to put Steve Pavlina on the list originally, but didn’t based on many of his recent posts, which don’t seem to be about productivity. However, based on your comment, I’m going to add him (it’ll be 51 sites now). Should he be on the A-List?
Jenna Says:

The link for Dumb Little Man is misconfigured. Great list, though!

Aloha Leo, mahalo nui for sharing Managing with Aloha with your readers!
This is very generous of you, as we can all use more productivity coaching; I’m going to click through and do some visiting of your recommendations!
Blog-surfing can eat up precious time, but like you I don’t consider it a waste - what I’ve learned from several of the authors you mention here (and from you!) has been priceless to me. Ke lokomaika’i; the generosity of these bloggers in coaching us is amazing.
Leo Says:
April 14th, 2007, 19:33 pm
Thanks, Rosa! You were one of the first productivity bloggers I became aware of, and you still do a great job every day. Keep up the great work!

I have found some really interest articles at StevePavlina.com a long time back. But mostly he is a spammer always promoting some stupid get rich scheme and I gave on that site a while back. Since I saw that site again in your list I visited it again and nothing has changed. Now he is promoting Agloco so that he can refer some stupid people and thereby make some money. So before classifying his site in A List please consider some other useful sites that does less spamming.
Leo Says:
April 14th, 2007, 23:19 pm
Hi Tim … I agree with you about the Agloco post. One thing to remember is that Steve has never been ashamed about his desire to make money - he’s very unapologetic about it. Not all of his posts are about productivity, which is one of the reasons he wasn’t on this list originally. But he does have some decent productivity posts, and in terms of traffic, there’s no doubt he ranks up there with all the A Listers.
What do others think about his site? If you guys think it’s too spammy, let me know and I’ll remove it.

Thanks for a great list, I’ve already added the sites I don’t currently read to my list to give them a go.
Someone I have rarely found mentioned on other sites, but whose books and blog I have found to contain some original ideas on productivity is Mark Forster http://www.markforster.net/blog/
I am currently implementing a combination of Getting Things Done and Mark’s idea of Do It Tomorrow and finding it has done wonders for my productivity.

How come no one else thinks it’s the slightest bit ironic that you’re encouraging people to check out 50 blogs on doing stuff.. when reading productivity blogs is hardly actually productive. I swear I thought this post was a late April fools joke.

That’s an interesting idea. I didn’t consider it before, I think, because I didn’t really think people would be interested in subscribing to all 50 … my thought was that they would check them out, and if the blog looked good, they could subscribe.

For a few years people have been telling me to write a book or put up a website on Time Management, topic on which I have had a special interest for quite a long time.
I finally decided to start a blog and share my innovative and holistic Time Management methodology with the public.
So visit it at http://www.intertik.com and let us know if you think it should be on the top 50 :-)

Great list. By the way. you have a bug in your HTML in the A list. the listing for http://www.getrichslowly.org/blog/ has no text inside the A tags. Peeking at the code, I can see the URL, but you cannot get to from the browser page.
